The opening of Ananda Rasoi at the temple has been one of the biggest blessings for our community. The food is always fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The service is consistently outstanding, and everyone working there is warm, cheerful, and genuinely helpful. Every visit is a wonderful experience, and you can truly feel the spirit of hospitality and devotion in everything they do. We celebrated our child’s first birthday party at Lotus Hall, right next to Ananda, and had Ananda take care of the catering for around 140 guests. They truly did an amazing job from start to finish. We had a big and diverse menu with a mix of South Indian and North Indian dishes, and everything tasted great. The food was fresh, flavorful, and very well-prepared. The presentation was also on point, and every item was arranged beautifully. The pooris were made fresh and served hot, which added a special touch to the event and was appreciated by the guests. Another dish that really stood out was the paneer sabzi. It was rich and tasty, but not in the way many restaurants simply make it heavy by adding extra cream. It had a very authentic taste, with balanced flavors and proper preparation. Their staff was polite, professional, and attentive throughout the event, especially while handling the live stations. They also did a separate kids’ food setup, which was such a thoughtful touch and made things easier for families with children. I have now tasted Ananda’s food several times in the past year - several dishes at different occasions. The food continues to be Authentic, fresh, consistent , flavorful and simply put delicious. Recently I tasted their gazar ka halwa at an event and it was the best I have ever tasted! The paani from pani poori was absolutely fantastic…the right amount of khatta and Theeka that will make you want more!

Ananda Rasoi is 100% vegetarian restaurant located within the premises of the Hindu Temple in The Woodlands area of Houston. Food is very tasty, freshly made and very authentic South Indian taste. The Dahi Vada is simply outstanding! Poori Baaji and Chole was very satisfying and reminded me of Mangalore! The baaji taste and texture reminded me of my college days and how we would relish a simple meal. Thank you Chef Umaji- you are an awesome cook.

I am from Dallas and recently tried Ananda Kitchen in The Woodlands. Honestly, I was very impressed. The food tasted truly authentic, both North Indian and South Indian dishes were done really well, which is honestly rare to find in one place. Everything felt fresh, satwik, hygienic, and made with a lot of care. The restaurant itself is very spacious, clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The staff and volunteers were extremely warm and welcoming. You can actually feel that people are serving with heart there. Having the beautiful temple right next to it makes the whole experience even more special and calming. Really happy to see a volunteer-run place maintaining such high quality in food, cleanliness, and customer service. A must try, if you are in the area.
